About Me

Niko Sanchez

Hello and welcome to my online gallery. My name is Niko and I am an Artist and Teacher in Tucson Arizona. I grew up in San Diego and began painting/sculpture when studying Technical Drafting at Palomar Community College. I have since studied Art History, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, and Education at the University of Arizona. I love to Paint Plein Air, CNC machine, work on murals, and design 3d models. I Taught Biotechnology, Biology, STEM Science, and Precision Machining at Tucson High Magnet School. I also have taught ART 376: Coding for Interactive Art and Design for the University of Arizona School of Fine Art. Currently I am the Digital Design and Fabrication Specialist in the Student and Learning Engagement Department for the University of Arizona Libraries Makerspace, Catalyst Studios.
